A near-enclosed cove behind a collapsed cave roof, two cliff walls almost meeting overhead, a pebble beach inside, and a gap barely wide enough for a tender. Voted Europe's best beach more than once and still only reachable by boat or a steep goat track. A collapsed sea cave. Vis was a closed Yugoslav military island until 1989, no foreign visitors, no development, which is the reason this coast still looks like this. Tito's Cave, a wartime partisan command post, is inland. Anchorage: Anchor outside the entrance and tender in, yachts cannot enter. Exposed to the south. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
