The Zuidkaper 40 is a quality yacht with an impressive appearance: rugged and robust, yet stylish and comfortable. Wide side decks and the wheelhouse with a beautiful view make life under sail a wonderful sailing experience. The wheelhouse is a real eye-catcher; in bad weather, there is a dry, warm, and safe place inside for everyone. The construction and welding are reminiscent of commercial shipping more than yacht building.

The optimal length-to-width ratio offers surprisingly ample space for modern comfort. The vessel is highly suitable for long distances, especially with a small crew (shorthanded), and for living on board. The panoramic deck saloon with interior helm contributes to this. The retractable keel makes sailing in shallow water possible. The Zuidkaper differs slightly from the Noordkaper (slightly narrower transom and slightly less sheer) and has the same ocean-going status. The underwater hull of both vessels are identical. The underwater hull has been treated with a coppercoat epoxy system.

This vessel was built on commission for the first (and still current) owner and is equipped with every conceivable option. The ship was built to CE Class A and is suitable for the ocean. VAT has been demonstrably paid with a Dutch customs declaration.
