A full-size concrete margarita bar on the seabed in 6m of water, 22 tonnes, six bar stools, and a roof shaped like a dive flag, ringed by a protective wall of concrete tetrahedrons. Nurse sharks sleep under it, angelfish and sergeant majors work the stools. Shallow enough that you can shoot the whole thing on one breath, and the single most shareable image in Miami's water. Sunk on 5 May 2000 in a José Cuervo-sponsored stunt inevitably nicknamed 'Sinko de Mayo', intended as the first station of a planned South Beach Underwater Trail that was never completed. So it sits alone off one of the most famous beaches on earth, largely unknown to the people on it. Anchorage: Nearshore Miami Beach, day anchoring off South Beach in settled weather; easiest as a tender run from a Miami Beach Marina berth. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
