A 324ft tanker turned into a sunken casino, mermaid croupiers dealing blackjack, roulette tables, giant playing cards and a bar, all fused to the deck. Goliath grouper under the bow, barracuda in the wheelhouse. The former tanker Newton was sunk in 2016 as the centrepiece of Pompano Beach's Shipwreck Park, with 15+ art installations welded aboard before scuttling, an intentional collision of art wreck and artificial reef. Anchorage: Offshore site, ~1nm out; dive-boat moorings. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
