The Thistlegorm's forgotten twin, sunk by the same bomber squadron two nights later, but deeper, darker and almost empty of divers. She stands upright and beautifully intact, coated in black coral and swarming with glassfish and huge shoals of jack. A British collier carrying Welsh coal, bombed on 8 October 1941 by the same Heinkel unit that found the Thistlegorm. Located only in 1998. Because she needs a deep qualification, she has the atmosphere the Thistlegorm lost to popularity. Anchorage: Liveaboard mooring; exposed with strong current. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
