The largest submerged atoll in the Atlantic, 2,200 km² of reef with sections under 12m and coral gardens that see perhaps a handful of divers a year. Researchers found around 200 fish species and multiple new ones here. The fish genuinely have not learned to fear people. Declared a Particularly Sensitive Sea Area by the IMO in 2012 to keep tankers from anchoring on it, and a national park in 2010. Saba itself, a single volcano with no beach and no natural harbour, is the reason the bank stayed unexploited. Anchorage: No anchorage. Day trips from Saba's Fort Bay jetty in settled weather only. Hazards: Fully exposed offshore bank with no shelter and no land. Weather window essential, and Saba has no natural harbour to run to.
