A concrete-hulled ship half above the water on a sandbank, her ribbed shell open to the sky like a cathedral, with fish swarming inside the flooded lower hull in 6m. You snorkel through the interior in bright turquoise. One of Woodrow Wilson's emergency WWI concrete ships, later used as a Prohibition-era floating liquor warehouse, then driven aground by the 1926 Miami hurricane. Used as a bombing target in WWII, and linked to the Bermuda Triangle legend after aircraft vanished nearby in 1945. Anchorage: Anchor off in 4-8m sand; a classic Bimini day stop. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
