Two isolated pinnacles rising from 900m of open Red Sea, so their walls are pure gorgonian and soft coral. Two wrecks on Big Brother, the 1901 Numidia stacked with railway wheels, and the Aida, plus hammerheads, threshers, oceanic whitetips and grey reefs. Big Brother carries an 1883 British-built lighthouse still manned by Egyptian keepers. Both wrecks ran onto the islands in the dark; the Numidia's cargo of locomotive wheels is now one of the Red Sea's iconic photographs. Anchorage: Liveaboard-only, mooring; fully exposed mid-sea pinnacles. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
