The world's best shore-entry wreck to 120m of transport lying on a black sand slope 30m from the beach, starting in 5m. Completely coated in gorgonians and soft coral. A resident school of thousands of bigeye trevally that forms a living tornado, bumphead parrotfish at dawn, garden eels, plus world-class muck diving next door. Torpedoed by a Japanese submarine in January 1942 and beached at Tulamben, where she sat rusting on the shore for 21 years. The 1963 eruption of Mount Agung shook her off the beach and into the sea, a volcano created this dive site. Anchorage: Anchor off Tulamben in the deep drop-off; usually shore-dived. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
