The largest passenger liner on the seabed anywhere, Titanic's younger sister, 269m long, lying on her starboard side and astonishingly intact, with davits, the bridge and portholes clearly defined. Only a few dozen people have ever seen her. Completed as a hospital ship, she struck a German mine in the Kea Channel in November 1916 and sank in 55 minutes, faster than Titanic, but with only 30 deaths of 1,065 aboard. Cousteau found her in 1975. Privately owned since 1996, which is part of why access is so restricted. Anchorage: Kea anchorages nearby; Greek permits required and tightly limited. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
