Designed with safety and ease of handling in mind, BEACH MUSIC features wide side decks, double lifelines, and a molded toe rail. At the bow, you'll find a dedicated anchor locker with a stainless steel roller for efficient ground tackle management. All halyards are led aft to winches at the companionway, making sail handling convenient and safe. BEACH MUSIC is extremely easy to be handled by a couple.

She tracks surely and performs well in a variety of conditions. The deck is the classic trunk cabin configuration - proven, comfortable and functional.  BEACH MUSIC has stainless steel hand rails and anodized spars, reducing maintenance on deck and extending the sailing season. The mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems have been re-engineered to increase dependability and accessibility. Engine access, for example, is excellent, with the one-piece, insulated enclosure removed. The hull is rugged, hand-laminated, solid fiberglass; the keel is lead with integrally cast stainless steel bolts. The mast is stepped through the deck on the keel and has inline spreaders and fore and aft lower shrouds, a sturdy arrangement that is easy to tune.

BEACH MUSIC'S cockpit  is notably larger than the earlier model, offering long bench seating, wheel steering aft, and a desirable walkthrough transom with integrated swim platform and stainless steel boarding ladder—ideal for easy access to and from the water.

Spacious & Thoughtful Interior

Below deck, 

BEACH MUSIC continues to impress with a smart and comfortable layout. A generous V-berth is forward, followed by a head with shower to port, and a hanging locker and additional storage to starboard.

The main saloon features a large U-shaped dinette with adjustable table to port and two comfortable chairs with a small table to starboard—perfect for relaxing or entertaining. Tons of storage and even book shelves make BEACH MUSIC  a perfect cruising platform for weekends or months.The aft galley is fully equipped with a new single large stainless steel sink, two-burner stove with oven, top-loading icebox, and ample storage. Opposite the galley is a navigation station, followed by a very outstanding  feature of BEACH MUSIC: a spacious aft quarter cabin with a wide athwartship double berth and easy access, thanks to the wider beam.

BEACH MUSIC'S cabin sole has been refinished to a very high gloss and adds to the comfy home like setting in her main saloon. With her numerous windows, port lights and hatches, BEACH MUSIC  enjoys plenty of natural light below decks.

Reliable Rig & Performance

The Catalina 36 is rigged as a masthead sloop with a single spreader mast and fore-and-aft lower shrouds—a setup that balances performance with ease of use, ideal for coastal cruising or longer adventures.  With her DUTCHMAN system her main sail is a breeze to handle. Roller furling on her JIB  also ensures easy sail handling by a couple or a single hander as everything is riggd to the cockpit.
