Solaris Power 52 Open Video Review: Fold-Out Terraces and a Jet Tender

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read

The Solaris Power 52 Open is a 53 ft Italian walkaround, with a deep V hull by Brunello Acampora of Victory Design. We walked a brand new one in a champagne colour in South Florida. She has fold-out terraces on both sides of the cockpit, a jet tender garage under the aft sunbed, an outdoor galley with a teppanyaki plate, a VIP cabin forward and a full-beam owner's cabin aft.

Italian details on a walkaround dayboat

Solaris Power has been building boats since 1974, and the 52 Open shows the yard's attention to detail. The sunbed backrests adjust with no hardware in sight, the stern cleats sit at knee height so lines clear the sunbed, and rollers on the bow stop lines chafing. The side terraces fold out to widen the cockpit, and below deck a sliding wall closes off the VIP cabin.

Swim platform and aft deck

The aft sunbed, with the tender garage beneath it. 02:00

The hydraulic swim platform lowers into the water, and a large sunbed sits in the centre of the stern. Its backrest adjusts, so you can look back at the water rather than up at the sky.

Fits a Williams 285 or an Agilis jet tender.
  • Cleats.

The side windows curve with the hull, and there is no step up to the bow. The gunwales come above the knee, so it feels safe to walk forward.

VIP cabin

The stairs lead down under a skylight, with plenty of headroom. A huge sliding wall closes off the forward cabin, which could be the owner's or the VIP.

  • Wardrobes.
One has a panel that comes out for long dresses.
  • Bathroom.
A sink with storage and hidden toilet paper.
  • Shower.
Separate, with a rain shower and a bench.

Owner's cabin

The Frame TV, with edges matched to the interior. 18:20

The owner's cabin takes the full beam aft. Headroom drops a little over the bed, but there is a plush sofa, large side windows and a porthole.

  • TV.
A Samsung Frame TV with colour-matched magnetic edges.
  • Storage.
Several wardrobes, drawers and a drawer under the bed.
  • Mirrors.
One floor to ceiling, one by the door.
  • Privacy.
    Shades on the windows.
  • Bathroom.
A rain shower with a bench and a window that opens.
The verdict

The 52 Open packs a lot into 53 ft. The fold-out terraces and the jet tender garage make the stern feel like a much bigger boat, and the outdoor galley can feed a crowd. Small details show the Italian care, from the hidden sunbed hardware to the knee-height cleats. Below, both cabins have their own bathroom with a separate shower, and the storage is generous. We did not sea trial her, so we cannot speak to the ride yet.
