Red Sea Global has announced the upcoming opening of AMAALA Triple Bay, a groundbreaking luxury yachting and wellness destination on Saudi Arabia’s northwest coast. The development, revealed during the inaugural TOURISE Summit in Riyadh, is set to redefine the Red Sea as a global center for sustainable tourism and high-end marine lifestyle.

Described by RSG as the “crown jewel” of its Vision 2030 portfolio, AMAALA Triple Bay is projected to create up to 50,000 jobs and contribute over SAR 11 billion (USD 3 billion) annually to Saudi GDP. Spanning 68 kilometers of pristine coastline, the destination will feature 12 ultra-luxury resorts, setting a new benchmark for regenerative tourism in the Middle East.

A New Hub for Global Yachting

At the heart of the project lies the Triple Bay Marina and AMAALA Yacht Club (AYC), designed by HKS Architects and unveiled earlier this year at the Monaco Yacht Show. The marina will offer 116 berths for yachts up to 140 meters, supported by five-star facilities, advanced security systems, and a full suite of yachting services.

Beyond world-class berthing, AYC aims to establish Saudi Arabia as a fixture on the global yachting circuit, with a dedicated sailing academy and a schedule of major regattas, including hosting The Ocean Race Grand Finale in 2027.

“AMAALA offers yacht owners a cost-effective alternative to the Caribbean for the winter season,” said Brett Armitage, RSG’s Group Head of Global Branding and Marketing. “It’s something truly different — an untouched coastline, easily accessible from the Mediterranean via the Suez Canal.”

Armitage also emphasized the collaboration between the Saudi Tourism Authority and Red Sea Authority to streamline permits and insurance, reinforcing confidence in the destination’s infrastructure and safety.

Luxury, Wellness, and Environmental Harmony

Phase one of Triple Bay will see eight premier resorts open their doors, including Clinique La Prairie, Six Senses, Four Seasons, Rosewood, Equinox, The Ritz-Carlton, Jayasom, and Nammos Resort. Each will deliver a blend of wellness, fine dining, and curated cultural experiences, supported by medical-grade spa facilities, fitness centers, and holistic programs.

The destination’s natural beauty remains central to its identity. AMAALA is home to vibrant coral reefs, mangroves, and wildlife including dolphins, reef sharks, and green turtles. To protect these ecosystems, annual visitor numbers will be capped at 500,000, and the development will operate on 100% renewable energy, targeting a zero-carbon footprint.

The Corallium Marine Life Institute

Adjacent to the yacht club, the Corallium Marine Life Institute will serve as a world-class research and conservation center. Its mission: to restore and enhance local biodiversity, increasing Red Sea marine life by 30% by 2040. The institute will lead global studies on coral resilience, seagrass preservation, and ocean health, anchoring AMAALA’s commitment to environmental stewardship.

“Having worked in tourism all my life, I’ve never seen sustainability taken this seriously,” said Armitage. “This is more than a development — it’s a vision for how luxury and nature can thrive together.”

A Regenerative Vision for the Future

With its combination of luxury yachting, wellness tourism, and environmental innovation, AMAALA Triple Bay positions Saudi Arabia as a rising leader in sustainable luxury travel. The project promises not only to transform the Red Sea coastline but to inspire a new global standard in eco-conscious marine destinations. YachtWay News will also definitely be following up on its unique coral and marine diversity initiatives.
