Five rock pinnacles rising from around 50m to within 12m of the surface, upholstered in red and yellow gorgonians, black coral and sponges, with amberjack and barracuda in the blue, an unlikely amount of life a few miles from Naples. The bank is named for a church on the shore above it and has been protected as a zona di tutela biologica since 1993, after spearfishing had stripped it. The recovery has been fast enough that Neapolitan dive clubs use it to argue for more of the same along this coast. Anchorage: Anchor along the Sorrentine coast between Vico Equense and Seiano, with Vesuvius across the bay. Hazards: Busy shipping and pleasure traffic overhead in summer; surface with an SMB.
