A wall in 25-40m visibility minutes from the boat, a beach with no buildings on it, and, because the whole north-west point is park, reef in better condition than anything off Grace Bay. Northwest Point was made a marine national park to protect exactly this stretch of wall. The land behind it stayed undeveloped because there is no fresh water and the track in is unmade. Anchorage: An anchorage off a beach that most visitors to Provo never reach, inside the Northwest Point marine park, with the reef wall a few hundred metres out. Cruising guides list it among the island's usable anchorages and almost nobody uses it. Hazards: Northerly ground swell in winter closes this coast quickly. The wall is close in and the park has anchoring rules.
