Up to eight shark species on one dive, dozens of 3m bull sharks, plus tiger sharks, silvertips, grey reefs, whitetips, blacktips, nurse sharks and lemon sharks, all in warm, clear, 20m water. The highest shark-species count of any single dive site on earth. Created in 2004 when two Fijian villages surrendered their traditional fishing rights over the reef in exchange for a levy from every diver, a village-owned marine reserve funded entirely by shark tourism. Fish biomass and shark numbers have climbed steadily since. Anchorage: Beqa Lagoon is a large protected lagoon with good anchorages. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
