A protected mooring field with three separate attractions in tender range, the Sea Aquarium, a shallow coral head swarming with sergeant majors, angelfish and yellowtail in 3m of glass-clear water, a small aircraft wreck in the sand, and Rocky Dundas, two caves with stalactites you swim into at low tide. Inside the no-take zone since 1986, which is why the fish here are both abundant and completely unafraid. The Rocky Dundas caves' stalactites formed when sea level was lower and the caves were dry, the same story as Palau's Chandelier Cave. Anchorage: Park moorings in a well-sheltered pocket, with a plane wreck and the Aquarium reef both within tender range. Hazards: The cuts either side run hard; snorkel on slack water only.
