You swim into a cliff at 10m and surface inside a series of five connected air chambers hung with white stalactites, where you can take your regulator out and talk to your buddy in a cave nobody on the surface can see. Mandarinfish live in the shallow rubble at the entrance. A limestone cave formed above sea level during the ice ages and flooded when the water rose; the stalactites are the proof it was once dry. Its position in the middle of Koror's harbour makes it the most reliable bad-weather dive in Palau. Anchorage: Malakal Harbour anchorage, minutes away, sheltered. Hazards: No site-specific hazards noted, brief normally.
