2023 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show Recap

Fort Lauderdale, Florida – The 64th annual Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) set sail October 25th through the 29th. Spread across seven locations, the show’s impressive lineup of yachts, exhibitors, and marine industry experts drew a staggering 100,000 attendees.
YachtWay attended FLIBS to promote their the MLS platform‘s commitment to innovation, sustainability, and data privacy.
Heigo Paartalu, CEO and Co-Founder of YachtWay, emphasized the significant moment the industry is experiencing, stating, “The marine industry has never been more ready for a monumental change in the world of software.” He added, “YachtWay stays committed to bringing the next generation of boaters into the industry and offers an unparalleled, data privacy-focused experience to all users.”
The main focal point of FLIBS 2023 was sustainability. From cutting-edge yacht designs to educational seminars, FLIBS helped industry leaders address the increasing importance of responsible yachting — a subject well received by industry veterans and the public.
Dean Fillicio, Director of Sales at Informa Markets, expressed his positive outlook on the show, saying, “If I had to give you two sentences about the show, I would say that, despite what’s gone on with the market all summer, a lot of manufacturers sold products at the show. Even companies that didn’t have the best sales had very qualified leads, so the show has continued to [attract] quality people.”
FLIBS 2023 showcased several standout exhibitors and products.
Jeff Brown Yachts and Pardo Yachts Miami had several boats go under contract, proving the industry’s continued demand for striking luxury vessels. Vanquish Yachts continued to raise the bar with their release of the new VQ55 Sports Line, captivating the attention of boat enthusiasts and industry insiders alike. Pardo Yachts Miami sold The new release of the Riviera Yachts 585 model was a major highlight, emphasizing the ongoing evolution of yacht design and functionality. Additionally, the ever-popular SEABOB sold more than 50 units, confirming a widespread passion for recreational equipment.
The Fort Lauderdale Boat Show 2023 epitomized the resilience and adaptability of the marine industry, giving attendees an inspiring preview of an eco-conscious future. As the event concluded on Sunday, it left no doubt that the world’s passion for boating is stronger than ever.
