Abeking & Rasmussen has introduced a new 72-metre superyacht concept, Aruby, developed in collaboration with Reymond Langton Design and unveiled at the Palm Beach International Boat Show. Positioned as a ready-to-build platform, the concept is designed to reduce lead times while preserving a high level of customization, offering owners a more efficient path to a fully bespoke yacht for sale.

Aruby is built around a pre-engineered foundation, allowing owners to bypass much of the traditional development process without sacrificing design flexibility. The concept introduces what the yard describes as a “New Luxury” approach, prioritizing privacy, autonomy and a more relaxed onboard lifestyle, with service intentionally kept discreet and out of view.

The layout centers on seamless indoor-outdoor living, with a large beach club featuring a gym, sauna and opening platforms, complemented by dual pool areas... including a glass-bottom aft pool that filters light into the spaces below. Interiors can be tailored across contrasting design schemes, from light, neutral palettes to darker, more dramatic finishes, while exterior styling remains fully customizable.

Technically, Aruby reflects the yard’s engineering pedigree, incorporating diesel-electric propulsion, pod drives for quiet operation and a future-fuel-ready platform. A streamlined hull and single-level engine room further enhance efficiency and onboard volume, reinforcing the concept’s focus on both performance and livability.

The unveiling comes as Abeking & Rasmussen continues to expand its presence in the large-yacht segment, following the recent announcement of a new 100-metre-plus project earlier this year.
