Benetti is preparing to usher in one of the most significant technological shifts in its history: the integration of artificial intelligence across its yacht production processes. After years of research and pilot programs, the Italian shipyard has confirmed it is “ready to launch” its first wave of AI-powered systems, developed in partnership with the Quinn University Consortium. Full implementation begins at the Livorno shipyard before 2026.

This marks a major evolution for Benetti... one that aims to strengthen efficiency, boost precision, and enhance sustainability while preserving the craftsmanship and detail which define every Benetti yacht.

The First Phase: Four Core Divisions Go Intelligent

AI integration will begin inside Benetti’s Custom Operations Division, targeting four critical departments:

Logistics
Planning
Production Engineering
Safety

These areas will adopt advanced AI-driven tools designed to streamline workflows, automate manual processes, and elevate decision-making accuracy. Benetti expects reductions in human error, faster processing of semi-finished materials, and better use of skilled labor by shifting repetitive tasks to automated systems. Ultimately, the goal is a more agile, data-driven shipyard that delivers higher reliability and even greater product quality.

A Strategic Leap Forward

“Investing in innovation is the strategy that ensures we can always offer our clients the best possible product,” said Massimo Casoni, Benetti’s General Manager.
“The introduction of artificial intelligence is a milestone for yacht building. Excellence and attention to detail remain our foundation, but digital innovation will make our processes faster, more efficient, and more sustainable.”

At 108 meters, IJE remains the flagship symbol of the yard’s craftsmanship; soon to be supported by smarter, more integrated production systems.

Inside the AI Toolkit: What’s Coming

Over the next several months, Benetti will deploy a suite of new AI systems, including:

Automated controls on the Incoming Material Booking Portal
Aligning supplier deliveries with production schedules and warehouse availability.

A Three-Year Plan Simulator Prototype
Capable of analyzing complex scenarios and generating optimized long-term strategies across multiple performance indicators.

These tools reflect Benetti’s long-term aim: a shipyard guided by intelligent systems that learn, evolve, and improve operational agility year after year.

A Partnership Focused on the Future

Benetti selected the Quinn University Consortium as its strategic AI partner. Quinn has supported industries with advanced research since 1989 and has already collaborated with Benetti between 2022 and 2024 on initiatives to synchronize logistics and integrate supply chain processes.

“We're honored to share this journey with Benetti,” said Ilaria Campana, Quinn’s General Manager to Boat International reporters. “AI is not only a tool for efficiency: it is a catalyst for transformation. With a process-focused approach, we can generate sustainable value, protect technological investments, and shape new ways of working.”

Casoni added, “We’re proud to collaborate with Quinn. We share not only a commitment to innovation but a dedication to our region and to shaping the future together.”

A Strong Year Ahead for Azimut-Benetti

The announcement comes as the Azimut-Benetti Group projects a record €1.5 billion in revenue for 2025: an increase of 15% over the previous year and fully aligned with its long-term business plan. With AI now entering the production line, the group is positioning itself at the forefront of next-generation yachtbuilding.
