Custom Line Launches First Navetta 35: A 34.5-Metre Displacement Hull Built Around the Sea
Custom Line, a brand of Ferretti Group, has completed the technical launch of the first hull from its Navetta 35 series: the yard's newest semi-displacement model and the most direct successor to the Navetta 33 that has underpinned the marque's reputation for the past several years.
The 34.5-metre vessel entered the water on 28 May at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, during a ceremony attended by yard leadership, the owner's representative, the captain, the surveyor, and employees drawn from both Custom Line and the project's external contractors. Three hulls had already been sold before the first unit launched: a commercial position the yard will view as confirmation of the model's market fit ahead of any public debut.

The Design
The Navetta 35 was presented in February as a "natural evolution" of the Navetta 33, with a modernised design language and a sharper focus on environmental compliance and current cruising regulations. Exterior styling is the work of Filippo Salvetti — continuing a productive collaboration with Custom Line's Strategic Product Committee, chaired by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Engineering Department that has defined the Navetta line's visual identity in recent years. Interiors are by ACPV Architects Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel, with Custom Line Atelier providing strategic consulting throughout the project.
The design brief, as the yard describes it, is centred on near-transparent naval architecture: the vessel is conceived to keep the sea visually present at all times, with a close relationship between interior and exterior spaces that runs through all three decks. The 300 square metres of combined indoor and outdoor space are arranged to alternate between socialising and relaxation zones, fitted with freestanding furniture and lit through repeated full-height windows; a configuration the yard summarises as combining "elegance and comfort" in service of a genuinely liveable vessel rather than a showpiece.
Deck highlights include a 58-square-metre sundeck with a hard-top shaded central area, an integrated staircase designed to disappear into the interior architecture, and a main deck aft that has been freed of any external staircase, converting the panoramic cockpit into an uninterrupted social space. Accommodation is for up to 10 guests across five cabins: a master suite on the main deck and four guest cabins on the lower deck.

Propulsion and Stability
Standard propulsion comes from twin 1,400hp MAN V12 engines, with twin 1,622hp CAT C32 units available as an alternative. Range in economy mode is quoted at 1,800 nautical miles; top speed with the larger engines is expected to reach 16 knots. Beam is 7.7 metres; draught 2.2 metres.
Stability is handled by twin Sleipner fin stabilisers in the standard specification, with Seakeeper NG18 and NG26 gyroscopic units offered as alternatives; a choice that reflects the range's long-standing emphasis on comfort underway rather than speed.
Yard Context
The Navetta 35 launch adds to a substantial Ferretti Group order book at Ancona. Custom Line currently has 18 units on order or under construction, including two 49.9-metre Navetta 50s. The yard also recently unveiled Saetta, a rebrand of its planing line, announced at last year's Monaco Yacht Show, which repositions the performance side of the Custom Line portfolio alongside the continuing displacement-focused Navetta range.
For buyers considering the Navetta series, Custom Line Navetta 33 and Navetta 38 examples are currently available through YachtWay.
