German Naval Yards, Swisship and Pascoli International reveal 93m next-generation superyacht concept
German Naval Yards, Swisship Yacht Projects and Pascoli International have jointly unveiled a new 93-metre superyacht concept named Koa, conceived for a new generation of large-yacht owners seeking advanced engineering paired with refined, purposeful design.
The project draws on German Naval Yards’ track record of technically complex builds, including the 142.8-metre Sailing Yacht A and the 114.1-metre Project ELF currently under construction, which the yard acquired earlier this year. Koa reflects that experience through a design that balances scale, efficiency and architectural clarity.

Visually, Koa is defined by a clean, modern profile with strong horizontal lines, extensive straight glazing, flush glass installations and floating glass-panel railings. A navy-blue hull contrasts with a crisp white superstructure and uninterrupted teak decks, creating a restrained, contemporary aesthetic. Key dimensions include a 14.6-metre beam, a four-metre draught and an internal volume approaching 3,500GT.
“Designed to blend elegance with purpose, this concept represents a lifestyle that unites luxury with functionality,” said Kristian Pascoli, founder of Pascoli International. “It is aimed at owners who want exceptional design alongside a deeper, more meaningful connection to the sea.”
One of Koa’s defining features is the main deck aft, where a glass-bottomed swimming pool casts natural light into the expansive beach club below. The beach club opens on two drop-down terraces and an opening transom, housing a watersports and dive centre, gym facilities and generous crew areas accommodating up to 32 crew. The pool deck, beach lounge and upper-deck spaces are connected via a dramatic double-height atrium and floating staircase, creating strong visual and spatial continuity throughout the yacht.

Forward on the main deck are six guest suites, four of which can be combined into two oversized VIP suites with adjoining lounge areas. A full-beam tender garage accommodates two 10-metre tenders, a 6.2-metre crew boat, an MOB tender and a wide selection of water toys.
The upper deck is dedicated to wellness and leisure, featuring a complete spa complex with hair and massage rooms, a wet spa and a relaxation lounge overlooking a forward spa pool and sunpads. Above, the bridge deck serves a dual purpose: forward sections house the wheelhouse, captain’s cabin and ship’s office, while aft is reserved for a private owner’s suite with panoramic views and a secluded terrace.
“The goal was to create a design that feels timeless, highly functional and visually calm, while delivering dramatic interior volume and seamless spatial flow,” said Andreas Iseli, owner of Swisship Yacht Projects. “From the beach club through to the double-height lounge, every space is interconnected, reflecting how we believe future large yachts will be experienced.”
Propulsion is based on a hybrid platform featuring twin MAN engines and a dual 450kW PTO/PTI system. The setup is expected to allow silent cruising at approximately 11 knots, with a top speed of around 18 knots. A 3MWh Corvus battery pack supports peak-load shaving, silent maneuvering and quiet at-anchor operation, while extendable stabilizer fins and Maglift technology provide enhanced stability.
“This concept represents the evolution of our shipyard,” said Rino Brugge, CEO of German Naval Yards. “Following the technical milestones of Sailing Yacht A and the ongoing build of Project ELF, Koa demonstrates what we can offer the next generation of superyacht owners: combining visionary design, advanced engineering and the ambition to deliver truly exceptional yachts.”
