Global Yacht Technology Reveals 31m High-Performance Trimaran Anahita Now Under Construction
Global Yacht Technology, the French innovation studio based in Brittany, has unveiled its newest creation: a 31-metre carbon-fiber trimaran, aptly named Anahita. The announcement was made during METSTRADE, where the engineering firm confirmed that the first hull of this limited-production series has already been sold and is now in build, with delivery scheduled for 2027.
Constructed entirely from pre-impregnated and infused carbon fibre, Anahita promises a level of lightweight efficiency previously unseen in yachts of her size. With a projected displacement of just 35 tonnes, nearly 60% lighter than a traditional monohull, she sets a new benchmark for high-performance multihull design.
“The trimaran quickly proved the natural choice,” said co-founder Ronan Guérin. “More stable and powerful than a catamaran, safer, faster, and vastly more seaworthy. This architecture lets us achieve performance and comfort that large luxury yachts simply haven’t reached before.”

A Fusion of Aerodynamic Sculpture and “Home at Sea” Living
Anahita’s sharp, sculptural lines and naval architecture come from the legendary multihull specialists VPLP Design, while the interiors (warm, minimalist, and deeply livable) are the work of French designer Christophe Chedal Anglay. Construction is being carried out by CDK Technologies to Bureau Veritas (BV) class.
Solar energy plays a central role in her sustainability profile, with 36 square metres of integrated solar panels supporting onboard systems.

Inside, Anahita offers 123 square metres of customizable living space, including:
• A panoramic owner’s suite with direct deck access
• Crew quarters for four
• Modular salons and lounges configured to client preference
Outside, the yacht expands into vast open-air living: an oversized cockpit, sweeping aft and side decks, and an extraordinary 160-square-metre forward “marine garden” of trampolines—an iconic hallmark of the trimaran lifestyle.
VPLP’s exterior designer Yann Prummel cited the water strider as a defining inspiration for the yacht’s profile. “Its speed, stability, and precision shaped the lines of Anahita. She cuts through waves with the tension of a Formula 1 chassis or an aviation fuselage.”
One of the project’s core challenges was perfecting the proportions of the central hull—balancing volume, elegance, and mass. “In the end,” Prummel added, “Anahita achieves a rare equilibrium: the purity of a racing yacht with the relaxation of a cruising yacht. She has a distinct identity all her own.”

Speed, Range, and Exploration Capability
Powered primarily by the wind and designed for serious passagemaking, Anahita is expected to:
• Cruise at 25 knots
• Cross the Atlantic in just six days
• Navigate shallow, protected coves with a 2-metre draft
Her blend of extreme speed, ultra-lightweight construction, and livable multihull volume positions Anahita as one of the most forward-thinking 30-metre yachts currently in build. We have high expectations of this daring design, and of course, if you happen to be in the market for a sailing yacht for sale, there's no better place to find the best than YachtWay.com
