Lürssen Opens a Service Center in Tarragona, Spain

Lürssen now has a permanent base in the Mediterranean. The new Service Center at Port Tarraco has a workshop, meeting rooms and spare parts, and it is open to any yacht, not only Lürssen builds.

YachtWay News · 6 Nov 2026

Lürssen has opened a Service Center at Port Tarraco in Tarragona, Spain. It gives large motor and sailing yachts a permanent port of call for service and technical support, with a workshop, meeting rooms and a spare parts supply on site.

The move follows steady demand for the Lürssen service team, which travels worldwide to look after yachts. Many of its call-outs are in the Balearics, a short run from Tarragona.

“The doors are open to everyone.”

Why Tarragona

A base in the Mediterranean

Captains, chief engineers and crew can now bring parts and components to Tarragona and talk through maintenance and upgrades in person with the Lürssen team and its suppliers.

“Having our own base in the Mediterranean means we can look after our fleet and any other yacht more closely.”

What is on site

Four things under one roof

Workshop

For Lürssen engineers and partner companies.

Meeting rooms

For crews, owner representatives, surveys and technical assessments.

Spare parts

Supplied from the Tarragona base.

Supplier network

Already in the region and proven on short-notice requests.

How it works

Decisions made on site

  1. Bring it in. Crew brings parts and components to Tarragona.
  2. Talk it through. Partner companies share their refit and repair knowledge with the crew.
  3. Decide together. The crew and the owner's representative make the call on site.

“We are set up to solve problems there and then.”
