Numarine Appoints Patrik von Sydow as CEO, Signaling a New Era of Global Expansion
Numarine has named Patrik von Sydow as its new chief executive officer, marking a pivotal moment for the Turkish shipyard as it accelerates its evolution and international growth strategy.
A highly respected figure in the superyacht sector, von Sydow brings more than two decades of senior leadership across Europe’s most prominent shipyards. He most recently served as CEO of Turquoise Yachts, overseeing a period of notable expansion and major deliveries. His return to Numarine — where he previously held the CEO role from 2010 to 2012 — is seen by the yard as both “strategic and symbolic” as it enters its next chapter.
In his new position, von Sydow will spearhead the development of Numarine’s product range, reinforce operational performance, and strengthen the brand’s global footprint.

Meanwhile, founder and chairman Ömer Malaz will shift his focus toward long-term strategy, high-level partnerships, and overall brand direction.

My priority will be to build on that strength... enhancing production capability, refining operations, and supporting the continued momentum of the XP Series as we enter this new phase of growth.”
The timing is significant: Numarine is in the midst of an exceptionally active production cycle, with new launches underway and rising global demand for its XP explorer series, spanning 22 to 47 metres. The yard delivered the first 40MXP, Miouch, in August, and several additional units are progressing through construction.
