Oceanco Delivers 111m DreAMBoat: A Record-Breaking Build and a Landmark in Modern Superyacht Design
Oceanco has officially delivered the 111-metre superyacht DreAMBoat, formerly Project Y726: one of the yard’s largest and most ambitious builds to date. According to BOATPro data, the yacht wasted no time before embarking on her maiden cruise, with Gibraltar marked as the first stop in what promises to be an extraordinary global itinerary.

Commissioned in 2022 by a repeat Oceanco client, DreAMBoat emerges from the shipyard’s Alblasserdam facilities as a triumph of scale, engineering, and collaborative design. With a vast 16-metre beam, an impressive 4,550GT, and a build footprint rivaling Oceanco’s most iconic projects, she is the second yacht to carry the name DreAMBoat for the same owner—underscoring a uniquely enduring partnership.
“At Oceanco, we believe great yachts are born from great relationships,” said CEO Marcel Onkenhout. “Having built with this owner before, we began with a shared vision and a foundation of trust. That synergy allowed his dream to come to life with clarity and speed.”
A Design Collaboration at the Highest Level
The yacht’s elegant exterior lines come from Espen Øino, blending muscular presence with refined detailing. Inside, Mark Berryman has created a warm, family-oriented interior featuring natural textures, inviting tones, and an understated luxury that reflects the owner’s taste. Lateral Naval Architects provided naval architecture in partnership with Oceanco’s in-house engineering team and long-time owner’s representative Dan Jackson of Falcon Yacht Management.
Those partnerships were essential, as DreAMBoat quietly sets a major Oceanco record: the shortest lead time ever achieved by the yard for a yacht of this scale.
From first discussions in November 2021, to contract signing in February 2022, to delivery in November 2025, the project reached completion approximately 18 months faster than a conventional custom 110-metre build.
“A project of this complexity succeeds only when expert teams unite behind one purpose,” said Lee Archer, Programme Director at Lateral. “DreAMBoat is a testament to engineering excellence, precise coordination, and an uncommonly collaborative spirit.”

Superyacht Living on a Grand Scale
Designed for extended family cruising and long-distance adventure, DreAMBoat offers accommodation for up to 28 guests and 34 crew. Among her standout amenities:
• A private owner’s deck with Jacuzzi
• A winter garden and covered cocktail terrace
• Cinema lounge
• Fully outfitted gym and spa with sauna and steam room
• A multi-level entertainment deck with swimming pool and Jacuzzi
• A beach club with bar opening directly onto the water
• A sundeck equipped with a state-of-the-art golf simulator
Her diesel propulsion delivers a 21-knot top speed and a comfortable 15-knot cruising speed, enabling global passages with ease.
A New Benchmark in Fast-Track Sustainability
Beyond scale and speed, DreAMBoat represents a strategic leap in sustainable yacht construction. The owner’s strong environmental focus prompted Oceanco to introduce a first-of-its-kind Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool, co-developed with Royal Haskoning. This system evaluates the yacht’s full carbon footprint across both construction and operation, guiding real-time decisions to minimize impact.
Sustainability-driven features include:
• A battery pack for peak-shaving and reduced emissions
• Extensive use of sustainable materials from Nature Squared
• Optimized engineering with a focus on long-term efficiency
Oceanco confirmed the LCA tool will now be integrated into future projects.
“My relationship with Oceanco only grew stronger throughout the build,” the owner shared. “They listened. They cared. Watching your ideas take shape with a partner like this is incredibly rewarding.”

A Unified Effort from Yard to Crew
Project Director Edske Smit emphasized that trust and transparency powered the record-fast build:
“Major design decisions were made early—often the same day. The owner was deeply engaged, and every partner came to the table ready to work at pace.”
Captain Andre Salt, who also served in the build team, added:
“To witness this program evolve into a vessel of such beauty and sophistication has been a privilege. Delivering DreAMBoat in just four years speaks to the passion and precision of everyone involved.”
The delivery comes during a dynamic period for Oceanco, following the shipyard’s launch of the 111-metre Leviathan just a week earlier.
