Rare 16-metre steel bluewater cruising yacht, built in 1983 by Schwartz Hautmont in Tarragona, Spain, to the renowned Damien design by French naval architect Gilbert Caroff, featuring a fixed keel configuration. Designed for offshore passagemaking, she is a true ocean-going sailing yacht built for long-distance cruising.
This yacht has had only one owner since new. Now at an advanced age, the owner has decided to part with a boat that has been carefully maintained throughout its life.
The interior offers generous accommodation with 3 cabins, 6 berths, and 2 bathrooms. Finished entirely in solid teak, the interior provides a warm, classic atmosphere. A large forward storage locker offers excellent space for sails, spare gear and cruising equipment.
Built with a robust steel hull, she is ideally suited for serious offshore cruising. Power is provided by a reliable Perkins 6354.3 diesel engine developing 120 HP. She is also equipped with a Splash 25 watermaker, complete navigation electronics, a mechanical windvane self-steering system (requiring no electricity), a generator, a life raft, and a 2.50 m tender (2023) powered by a Honda 4 HP outboard (2023).
The sail inventory includes a heavy genoa, light genoa, mainsail, asymmetrical spinnaker, symmetrical spinnaker, staysail, and storm jib.
The standing rigging was replaced approximately 12 to 15 years ago. Due to its age, a professional inspection is recommended before undertaking extended offshore voyages.
