Brabus Shadow 1000 Video Review: A Compact Fighter Jet for the Water

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough6 min read

The Brabus Shadow 1000 is the more compact sister of the Shadow 1200, built with Axopar and styled by Brabus. We walked one at a boat show. She has twin Mercury Racing 500R outboards, an aft lounge that becomes a sunbed, a mini galley, a second dining table, a helm laid out like a race car, a bow sunbed and a cabin with red LED lighting, a hidden toilet and gullwing doors.

A Swiss army knife with Brabus attitude

The Shadow 1000 has the same fighter-jet look as the bigger 1200 in a smaller package. Matte black metalwork, red accents and Brabus logos are everywhere, but she is also very practical. Tables fold into sunbeds, a seat flips to face the other way and the cabin hides a toilet under the bench. She works as a chase boat, a sunset cruiser or a family day boat.

The verdict

The Brabus Shadow 1000 gives you the attitude of the bigger Shadow in a size that is easier to handle. The helm is well thought out, the two dining areas and the fold-out sunbeds make her very flexible, and the cabin adds real comfort with its gullwing doors. If you want a fast, eye-catching day boat that still works for the whole family, she is a strong choice.
