Mangusta 104 REV Video Review: Jets, a Wing and a Hidden Tender

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read

The Mangusta 104 REV is the entry to Mangusta's Maxi Open range, and REV stands for revolutionary. We walked her at the dock, from the sun deck to the engine room. Waterjets keep the draft to 4 ft 11 in, the wing over the sun deck goes back to Mangusta's first boat in 1985, and a garage holds a Williams jet tender. Below deck there is an owner's suite and three guest cabins, all with their own bathrooms.

Curves that work from every angle

The lines are what you notice first: the curves, how low she sits on the water and how the windows break up the hull. Even the shade columns are angled to keep the profile clean with the canvas up. This owner swapped the old radar domes for sleek marine Starlink units. Inside, the white panels follow the curves of the exterior, and small details carry the Mangusta M.

What stood out on board

  • Waterjets and a shallow draft
Jet propulsion keeps the draft at 4 ft 11 in, so shallow Bahamas anchorages are within reach.
  • The Mangusta wing
A design cue carried on every sports model since the first Mangusta in 1985.
  • A sun deck with a second helm
A big sunbed, a grill with two burners, a sink and a fridge drawer, plus a helm that follows the curved console.
  • A garage for a jet tender
A Williams diesel 505 jet tender swings out on tracks into the water.
  • A window onto the helm
Push a button and an oval panel in the saloon reveals the helm behind it.
  • Doors that open themselves
The saloon door slides open as you approach, and the helm side doors open at a button.

The verdict

The 104 REV looks fast standing still. The curves, the wing and the clean profile are what make her a Mangusta, and the jets make shallow anchorages realistic for a 104 footer. The sun deck works as a second living room with its own helm, the jet tender hides in a garage, and four cabins with their own bathrooms suit a big group. We did not run her, but she is built to cover distance quickly.
