Numarine 30XP Video Review: A Hybrid Explorer With a Huge Sunbed
By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read
The Numarine 30XP is a 30 m explorer yacht with diesel-electric hybrid propulsion. We walked her in Cannes, from the beach club to the guest cabins. Terraces and a platform fold down at the stern for about 45 m² of extra space, the owner's suite sits forward on the main deck with its own terrace, and the sun deck has a huge sunbed. Four guest cabins below deck all have walk-in showers.
An explorer built for quiet, long passages
The engine room has no big engines, just two generators and the electrics for the battery-powered propulsion. The tender garage sits between it and the guest cabins, which keeps the cabins very quiet. We started at the beach club, which this owner uses as a gym, then walked up through a dining area hidden from the marina, a bright saloon, a galley with industrial fridges and a bridge with a 180° view.

Beach club
Large terraces fold down on both sides and the aft platform folds down too, adding about 45 m² of space. Most owners use it as a beach club or a gym.
- Gym.Room for a treadmill, weights and a training wall.
- Fridge.A small fridge for cold drinks.
- Tender.A 5.6 m tender, loaded from the side garage.
- Engine room. Two generators and the hybrid electrics.
Aft deck
The dining area does not end at the stern, so the marina cannot see you while you eat. The table seats eight to ten, and steps lead up to a raised aft deck.
- Storage.Behind doors, with power sockets inside.
- Raised deck.Free space for a yoga area or loose furniture.
- Shade.Carbon poles extend the shade from the sun deck.
Saloon and galley
The aft windows fold open, and the starboard side opens for al fresco dining. A C-shaped sofa faces a Samsung Frame TV.
- Wine cooler.Three zones with their own temperatures.
- Galley door.Opens hands-free with a kick sensor on the floor.
- Fridges. Two industrial fridge freezers with latches.
- Cooking.A large cooktop, a Siemens microwave and an oven.
- Ice.An industrial ice maker.
Bridge
The bridge has a helm seat for the captain and a lounge to port for guests. The windows are angled to cut glare and give a 180° view.
- Screens.Large Raymarine displays.
- Controls.Autopilot, searchlight and throttles within reach.
- Remote.A Yacht Controller remote for driving from outside.
Sun deck
The sun deck may be one of the largest in its size range. It has a dining area, a bar, a C-shaped lounge and a huge sunbed at the bow.
- Bar.Four large fridges and a counter.
- Grill.A barbecue with a sink, an ice maker and storage.
- Audio.Ceiling speakers plus larger speakers on deck.
- Sunbed.Cup holders all round and shade above.
- Anchoring.Winches and cleats tucked away at the bow.
Cabins
The owner's suite is forward on the main deck. Below, a hallway leads to four guest cabins, and a day head on the main deck saves guests a trip downstairs.
Owner's suite
- Terrace.A balcony with terraces that fold down.
- Windows.Floor to ceiling, with a king bed facing aft.
- Details.A frame TV and a desk.
- En suite.A big walk-in shower with a rain shower.
Guest cabins
- Forward cabins. The smallest two, still with walk-in showers.
- VIP cabins.Aft, with a bed close to king size.
- Bathrooms.Stone-look walls and rain showers.
- Quiet. The tender garage sits between them and the engine room.
The 30XP is built for long, quiet passages. The hybrid drive and the tender garage between the engine room and the cabins keep noise down, and the range is long. On deck there is a lot to use: a beach club that opens on three sides, a raised aft deck, a sun deck with a bar and a huge sunbed, and an owner's suite with its own terrace. Five cabins with their own bathrooms make her a comfortable home for ten.
