NX44 Pininfarina Video Review: Brazil Meets Italy, 35 Knots
By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read
The NX44 Pininfarina is a 45 ft sport cruiser built by NX Boats in Brazil and designed inside and out by Pininfarina. We walked a brand new one at its US premiere in Miami and took her out on twin Volvo Penta D6 sterndrives. There is a hidden swim platform, an outdoor grill, a cockpit that flows into the cabin and a roof that slides open. Below there is a full-beam owner's cabin, a VIP cabin forward and a day bed. On our run she reached about 35 knots (40 mph).
When Pininfarina takes a break from Ferraris
Pininfarina designed this boat from the helm to the stern, inside and out. NX Boats builds around 400 boats a year in Brazil, and the NX44 mixes that Brazilian flair with Italian attention to detail. The cockpit seating runs straight into the cabin, so you feel inside and outside at once. Small windows in the side walls let in light wherever you sit.
