English Harbour, Antigua — Just like it says, the Antigua Superyacht Challenge was created for superyachts specifically, and attendees have praised its particular spirit of fun. The event has no title sponsor by design: the event organizers want the focus to be the pure joy of racing, and perhaps it's fitting that the prize includes barrels of rum. The south coast of Antigua recalls the Caribbean's oft-romanticized Golden Age of Piracy, so don't be surprised to see the theme pop up at the some of the many parties around the regatta.

The Caribbean setting adds to the magic, with English Harbour on Antigua’s south coast providing a picture-perfect venue steeped in nautical history. The Superyacht Cup Palma

Palma, Mallorca — As the longest-running and perhaps most popular superyacht regatta in Europe, the Superyacht Cup Palma has exclusivity down to an artform. The competition is fierce, but the camaraderie among participants is just as strong. One of the highlights? The penultimate race evening culminates in an ultra-luxe outdoor dinner party for owners only.

Newport, Rhode Island — While not exclusive to superyachts, Safe Harbor Race Weekend includes a superyacht class — as well as many others, leading to a colorful riot of sails all over the classic American sailing playground of Narragansett Bay, as well as party-ready spectators.

But this event is about more than just racing. Newport’s historic charm — think cobblestone streets, Gilded Age mansions, and world-class dining — makes it the perfect setting for a weekend of socializing and celebration. Ibiza JoySail

Ibiza — While the Joysail is one of the newer regattas on the circuit, it's proven popular — perhaps in no small part to the global allure of the hosting islands — and it features both a superyacht class and a 70-foot class, both invitation-only.

What sets Ibiza JoySail apart is its youthful energy and the allure of its iconic location. Ibiza’s reputation as a global party capital is well-deserved, and the regatta’s social calendar reflects that with events ranging from casual dockside meetups to full-blown celebrations.
