Aquila's new power catamaran puts a center console Sport deck on two hulls. It launched at Cannes in September and makes its US debut at Fort Lauderdale on Thursday, 29 October, at 09:30.

The 35 Sport joins the 45 Sport in Aquila's reworked Sports range. It is 35 ft 6 in long with a 14 ft 9 in beam, which gives it more usable deck than a boat of this length usually has. A double-stepped hull and twin Mercury Verado outboards take it to a top speed of 39 to 45 knots.

From the bow to the berth
Three places to gather
The deck splits into three social areas, the bow, the helm and the aft cockpit, so a group can spread out.
A low dashboard
The dashboard sits low, so the captain sees more of the water ahead and everyone at the helm stays part of the conversation.
Lounge to sun lounger
The aft U-shaped seating has an adjustable backrest that turns it into a sun lounger. At the touch of a button the seats move side to side to widen the walkway.
Wet bar and galley block
The aft cockpit carries a wet bar, a sink, storage and a Corian-topped galley block. A Fusion Signature Series audio system runs six speakers.
Closer to the beach
Two hulls mean less drag and more stability, and the shallow draft opens up beach anchorages and coastal waterways.
A queen berth below
The cabin sleeps two in a queen berth with a memory foam mattress, behind a lockable sliding door. There is a private head with a shower, and an optional lithium battery package runs climate control off the grid.
