The Azimut|Benetti Group has unveiled WATCHIT Eye, an advanced collision-prevention system powered by AI and developed in collaboration with marine technology firm WATCHIT. This next-generation innovation represents a significant leap forward in maritime safety... one that blends precision, awareness, and intelligence in a single co-pilot system.

Born from a partnership between Azimut|Benetti’s in-house R&D Department and WATCHIT, founded by former naval commander Tal Duvdevany, the system is designed specifically for yachts and smaller vessels. It employs AI to recognize and evaluate genuine collision threats, from nearby vessels and tenders to floating debris and buoys, even in poor visibility conditions.

Smart Navigation, Human Intuition

Unlike traditional radar systems that simply track distance, WATCHIT Eye analyzes behavior and context in real time, mimicking the judgment of an experienced captain. Using input from multiple onboard sensors and a proprietary 4D Imaging Radar, the AI filters out false positives to alert the captain only when a real threat exists.

“WATCHIT brings proactive safety to the water, automating risk detection so captains can focus on what really matters: safe, confident navigation,” said Tal Duvdevany, CEO of WATCHIT.

Operating reliably in fog, darkness, or heavy rain, the 4D radar provides short-range precision and long-range awareness with minimal lag. Integrated cloud-based data collection allows the system to continuously learn and adapt, refining its accuracy and situational awareness with every voyage.

Seamless Integration Across the Azimut|Benetti Fleet

The system made its debut aboard the Azimut Fly 82 during the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, followed by its showcase at the Genoa International Boat Show alongside the hybrid-powered Seadeck 7. It is now available across the Azimut|Benetti fleet, marking a pivotal step in the Group’s commitment to user-focused, sustainable innovation.

WATCHIT Eye has already earned industry recognition, being shortlisted for the 2025 Boat Builder Awards in the category “Collaborative Solution Between a Builder and its Supply Chain Partner.”

“Asia, Europe, and the Americas are all moving toward smarter, data-driven navigation,” said Duvdevany. “With WATCHIT Eye, we’re redefining what intelligent safety looks like on the water.”

Innovation at the Core of Azimut|Benetti

The launch of WATCHIT Eye aligns with Azimut|Benetti’s broader technological evolution. With over 100 yachts currently in build or on order, the Group continues to pioneer advancements that combine sustainability, design, and digital intelligence.

Among its flagship projects is Benetti’s 85-meter Project Life, a collaboration between Espen Øino and Zuretti Design that integrates sustainable diesel-electric propulsion and HVO fuel compatibility. Alongside it, the B.Now 67M Oasis and Oasis 40M further embody Benetti’s philosophy of fluid, open connection with the sea.

On the Azimut side, the Grande 44M and Magellano 30M lead the charge with composite construction, reduced emissions, and artistic interiors by Vincenzo De Cotiis, each reflecting a new standard of elegance and efficiency in modern yachting.

Smarter Seas Ahead

With WATCHIT Eye, the Azimut|Benetti Group isn’t just making yachts safer—it’s shaping the future of intelligent navigation. By combining advanced radar, artificial intelligence, and real-time learning, the Group reaffirms its reputation as a global leader in innovation, craftsmanship, and visionary design.
