At the Palm Beach International Boat Show, Benetti took the opportunity to reveal new renderings and details of its 85-meter superyacht, Project Life. As the largest-ever engineering platform developed by the Italian shipyard, Project Life was initially introduced as a concept at the 2023 Monaco Yacht Show. Its presentation in Palm Beach underscores the growing significance of the American market, a region that remains a strategic focus for the brand.

A Collaboration of Design Excellence

Project Life represents the first collaboration between Benetti and Norwegian designer Espen Øino, who is responsible for the yacht’s exterior styling, while Francois Zuretti leads the interior design. The superyacht has been crafted with an al fresco lifestyle at its core, staying true to its name by prioritizing seamless indoor-outdoor living. Øino emphasized the importance of maximizing time spent on deck, a vision not always fully realized in larger yachts where the connection to the water can feel distant.

Expansive Beach Club and Open-Concept Spaces

One of the yacht’s most distinctive features is its 270-square-meter beach club, designed as an on-water retreat. This space includes fold-out bulwarks and an expansive swim platform, offering direct access to the sea. Natural light floods the area from above, filtering through a glass-bottomed swimming pool situated on the main deck.

Accommodations are spread across six luxurious cabins, with a dedicated owner’s area that includes a 98-square-meter master suite, a private skylounge, and a versatile third room, adaptable as a private office or personal hobby space. Throughout the interior, Zuretti’s design approach enhances natural light, incorporating curved lines to create an organic, seamless flow between interior and exterior spaces. This concept fosters a cocoon-like ambiance, dissolving traditional boundaries between indoor luxury and the open sea.

Lifestyle and Sustainability Innovations

The bridge deck aft has been envisioned as an open-air dining experience, complete with a live cooking station, while the upper foredeck features a helipad, Jacuzzi, and plush lounging areas.

On the technical front, Project Life is engineered for efficiency, featuring an optimized hull design, diesel-electric propulsion with HVO capabilities, and integrated hybrid solar panels. These panels generate both solar and thermal energy, ensuring a sustainable power source for the yacht’s tenders, toys, and onboard appliances.

Benetti’s Expanding Portfolio

With 58 superyacht projects currently under construction or on order, Benetti continues to solidify its status as a leader in luxury yacht craftsmanship. The shipyard also recently celebrated the delivery of the 44.1-meter Juno’s 7, the inaugural model in its new "Class" range. As Project Life moves closer to realization, it represents not just an evolution in Benetti’s design philosophy but a bold statement in the future of luxury yachting, sustainability, and onboard living.
