Delta Marine Unveils 48m Wellness Yacht Project Discovery at FLIBS 2025
At this year’s Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, American shipyard Delta Marine unveiled Project Discovery, a 47.5-metre custom yacht conceived around a single, modern ideal: wellness at sea.
Sold by Kent Harrington of Edmiston, Project Discovery is already under construction and will be offered for charter upon delivery. The project represents a significant evolution for Delta Marine, blending the yard’s heritage of craftsmanship with a new focus on holistic living, flexibility, and connection to the natural environment.

A Design Dedicated to Wellbeing
Interiors are being crafted by Amsterdam-based designer Dasha Moranova, who describes the yacht as “the perfect balance between an active lifestyle and pure relaxation.”
“Mornings can begin with a workout, a cold plunge, or time in the sauna, followed by catching fresh fish for lunch; which can be measured and weighed right on our smart deck before being grilled outdoors,” Moranova explained.
Her interior vision fuses refined finishes with the ease of a residential atmosphere, featuring an organic color palette, sculptural lighting, and hand-curated tableware. Materials such as natural stone, seaglass, and contrasting light and dark woods contribute to a tactile sense of warmth and flow throughout.
Flexible Living Spaces for Modern Life at Sea
Project Discovery accommodates up to 12 guests across five cabins, including a VIP suite that can merge two staterooms for dual charter principals and a children’s cabin that offers family flexibility. The sky lounge is equally adaptable, equipped with a full bath, pull-out sofa, and closet to serve as an additional guest suite when required.
Among the yacht’s many highlights is a circular stone-clad bar on the main deck: a striking centerpiece that brings social energy to the serene, wellness-forward interior.
A Lazarette Designed for Wellness
One of Project Discovery’s most distinctive features is her multi-purpose lazarette, which transcends the traditional utility space. Outfitted as both a recreation hub and wellness retreat, it includes a sauna, cold plunge pool, full dive station, paddleboards, scuba gear, and storage for fresh catches.
The sundeck continues the theme of vitality and leisure with sunpads, a grill, and an inflatable slide, while the bridge deck features a dining table for twelve, ideal for alfresco meals overlooking the sea.
Between the bridge and the Sea-Doos, a dedicated open-air gym brings fitness into the open, surrounded by panoramic views that elevate every session into a sensory experience.
The Art of Seamless Connection
Moranova’s approach emphasizes harmony between interior and exterior life. Sustainable deck materials create a subtle continuity of texture underfoot, enhancing the indoor–outdoor flow that defines the yacht’s lifestyle philosophy.
“Project Discovery reflects how luxury at sea is evolving,” said a Delta Marine spokesperson. “Wellness, sustainability, and design are no longer separate ideas; they’re inseparable elements of the new superyacht experience.”
A Vision of Delta’s Future
According to BOATPro, Delta Marine currently has two superyacht projects under construction, including the 46.3-metre Project Zembra. With Project Discovery, the U.S. builder continues its legacy of custom innovation, and introduces a fresh chapter where luxury and wellbeing move in perfect balance.
