Galeon 570 SKY Debuts at FLIBS: A Coupé That Opens Up at Anchor

Galeon presents the 570 SKY on Thursday 29 October from 10:15 to 10:50 on E Dock at Bahia Mar, listed by the show as its world debut. It is a 57-foot coupé with a hidden upper helm, an opening sunroof and fold-down balconies on both sides.

The 570 SKY is 17.55 metres long with three cabins, a full-beam master and a galley that opens to the side deck. Underway it reads as a sleek coupé. At anchor it changes shape: the balconies fold down, the sunroof opens and a second helm rises out of the roof.

Four modes

How it works at anchor

"Beach Mode opens the fold-down balconies and sliding windows, expanding the yacht's width to around 6.87 metres. The upper helm unfolds and the sunroof opens, while the optional Carousel Mode adds a rotating aft sofa with a hydraulically opening tender garage beneath it."

Beach Mode is an option package. With both balconies down the beam goes from 4.82 metres to 6.87 metres, and the galley gains a convertible bar on the port side.

The upper helm has driver and passenger seats with a fridge between them, and the centre console folds electrically. It can be driven standing.

Three ways to use the stern

Galeon offers the aft area in three configurations. One is a skipper cabin for one crew member. Another is the Carousel Mode package: a hydraulic tender garage, an aft seat that rotates 360 degrees, storage and a table with lowerable legs.

Integrated wind tunnels in the hull reduce lateral movement. Interior design is the Atlantic Design Package by Insitu & Partners Studio.
