GX38 Voyager: GX Superyachts Unveils Next-Generation Hybrid Explorer at Monaco Yacht Show

At the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show, GX Superyachts—the elevated brand extension from Greenline Yachts—has unveiled the boldest expression of its expedition vision yet: the GX38 Voyager. With its hybrid propulsion, ice-class aluminum hull, and long-range cruising capabilities, the GX38 is a confident step into the adventure yacht segment, wrapped in unmistakably European style.
Designed once again by renowned Italian designer Marco Casali, the GX38 Voyager draws on the DNA of previous GX models, yet carves a distinct identity of its own. It reflects a client-led brief rooted in real-world exploration: months at sea, voyages to polar latitudes, and a desire for all-weather performance without sacrificing comfort or luxury.
“The concept began with the assumption that guests would spend long periods onboard,” said Casali. “That insight reshaped every decision—generous fuel and food stores, ample wardrobe space, and above all, a layout that supports both adventure and indulgence.”
True to its explorer moniker, the GX38 Voyager boasts a reinforced all-aluminum hull engineered for ice conditions, a rare attribute in its class. The propulsion system features GX Superyachts’ proprietary hybrid architecture, offering up to 30% fewer emissions versus traditional diesel configurations. At cruising speeds of 6 knots in hybrid mode, it boasts an extraordinary range of 10,000 nautical miles—sufficient for transoceanic voyages without refueling.
Owners may opt for a standard 8.2-metre beam or an “ultra-wide” nine-metre variant, expanding onboard living volume and opening new possibilities in layout. Five- or six-cabin configurations are available, each with a main-deck owner’s suite, VIP cabins below, and quarters for up to six crew.
Highlights include a forward firepit lounge, a sprawling aft deck with Jacuzzi and tender storage, and a crow’s nest under the mast offering commanding views. The hybrid explorer also features optional Azimuth pod drives for improved maneuverability and fuel efficiency.
GX Superyachts founder Vladimir Zinchenko noted to Boat International: “The GX38 Voyager is the result of deep collaboration with a forward-thinking client. It embodies our unique promise: hybrid propulsion with no compromise on elegance or capability. For the first time, we’re taking our sustainability mission into truly remote territories.”
Currently under construction at SES Yachts in Tuzla, Turkey, GX’s larger sibling—the GX42—is on track for a 2026 delivery. With the GX38 Voyager now officially unveiled, GX Superyachts has signaled not just a diversification of its portfolio in superyachts for sale, but a commitment to pushing the envelope of responsible, long-range luxury yachting.
