The world of luxury yachts is ever-evolving, and Heesen Yachts in the Netherlands is capturing the attention of enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. Their shipyard is a hive of activity, showing an impressive track record of delivering and selling a lineup of stunning superyachts.

This year kicked off with the delivery of the magnificent 180-foot Iris Blue in January, quickly followed by the sale of the 164-foot Project Jade just a month later. The pace hasn’t let up, with significant milestones throughout the year including the delivery of the 164-foot Cinderella Noel IV in April, and the 164-foot ALP in June.

In a striking development, Heesen announced the sale of the 180-foot Project Venus in July, followed by the hull and superstructure joining for the 164-foot Project Sophia. The 180-foot Project Agnetha also entered the market later that month.

Notably, Santosha (formerly Project Akira) was slated for delivery before the year-end after its naming in July. By August, Heesen had launched the 180-foot Serena with a highly anticipated delivery this month.

A testament to their stellar operations, Heesen excels in both fully custom and semi-custom yacht designs. Their semi-custom projects are particularly renowned, as they start on spec and allow owners ample time to personalize certain aspects, such as the interiors.

The case of Serena vividly illustrates this, with the owners customizing bar areas, a three-deck atrium, and luxurious finishes featuring hand-blown glass and hand-sculpted metal light fixtures by John Pomp. It exemplifies Heesen’s commitment to merging personal touch with proven platforms.

Project Agnetha showcases Heesen’s continuous innovation, equipped with two MTU 8V 4000 M63 engines for a top speed of 15.5 knots. As the new Chief Commercial Officer, Ruud van der Stroom aims to continue this legacy, building on his rich experience from Keppel Offshore and Marine, and the Damen Shipyards Group.

Heesen is also expanding its horizons, eyeing increased demand from the Middle East. They recently onboarded Hisham Abushakra to strengthen regional operations, serving the discerning tastes of high-net-worth clientele who appreciate premium yachting experiences.
