Unveilings are an annual staple of the Miami International Boat Show, and so far 2025 has been no slouch. Honda, a company which has recently unveiled impressive announcements throughout the 2020s. For example, they opened the RACING Gallery at the Suzuka Circuit in Japan to preface their return to F1 as power unit manufacturer; and far outpaced consumer and investor expectations with their pickup and all-electric SUV models.

At the 2025 Miami International Boat Show, Honda unveiled seven refreshed large-size outboard motors: the BF250, BF225, BF200, BF150, BF140, BF135, and BF115. These models, scheduled for a mid-2025 release across Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia, feature a new "Noble Motion Form" design, emphasizing luxury and quality. Enhanced functionalities include an all-new flash mount electronic remote-control system (DBW) and a 7-inch multifunction display, offering intuitive operation. The BF250, BF225, and BF200 models also incorporate an oxygen sensor for improved fuel economy and environmental performance. Customers can choose between the traditional Aquamarine Silver Metallic and the new Grand Prix White exterior colors.

During the on-stage presentation, Honda's representatives highlighted the ergonomic design of the new flash mount DBW remote, which, coupled with the large 7-inch multifunction display, enables more intuitive operation. They also emphasized the cruise control function and the "trim support function," which automatically controls the outboard based on the engine rpm and boat speed to maintain a pre-set trim angle, enhancing the boating experience. The "automatic tilt function," which fully tilts the outboard motor up/down automatically, was showcased as a feature that significantly increases the convenience of docking and storing the outboard.

The presentation underscored Honda's commitment to environmental performance, noting that the BF250, BF225, and BF200 models adopt an oxygen sensor to realize more precise control of the air-fuel ratio, further improving fuel economy and environmental performance compared to the respective existing models. The addition of a mechanism that prevents oil from leaking into the engine cover when changing the oil filter was also highlighted as an enhancement to maintenance workability.
