After two decades of immersive yacht chartering, one couple transformed their extensive experience into the realization of their own vessel: the 57-meter superyacht, Santosha. Their journey from seasoned charter guests to proud yacht owners is a testament to their deep understanding of maritime luxury and functionality.

A Vision Materialized

Throughout their years of chartering, the couple experienced a diverse range of yachts, from a 24-meter Sunseeker navigating the Bahamas to opulent superyachts cruising the Mediterranean. This extensive exposure allowed them to discern the nuances of yacht design and functionality, culminating in a clear vision for their own vessel. Their collaboration with Heesen Yachts brought this vision to life in the form of Santosha, a yacht that seamlessly blends performance, elegance, and personalized luxury.

Distinctive Design and Engineering

Santosha stands as the inaugural model in Heesen's new 57-meter Aluminium Class, featuring the Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). This innovative design ensures both speed and efficiency, achieving a top speed of 22 knots. The yacht's exterior, crafted by Frank Laupman of Omega Architects, is characterized by a unique concave stern and elongated profile, imparting a dynamic and commanding presence on the water.

Personalized Interior Spaces

The interior of Santosha reflects the owners' desire for a serene and contemporary ambiance. Collaborating with the design studio Harrison Eidsgaard, they curated spaces that are both luxurious and inviting. The main saloon, spanning 76 square meters, exudes tranquility with a calm color palette, complemented by custom navy sofas that harmonize with the azure hues of the surrounding sea. The use of pale oak flooring and subtle textures enhances the sense of openness and light throughout the yacht.

Owner's Suite and Guest Accommodations

A standout feature is the owner's suite, a full-beam sanctuary that offers panoramic views of the ocean. The suite includes a spacious stateroom, a private study, and an expansive bathroom adorned with Calacatta marble. A bespoke plaster wall sculpture, "Garden of Eden," serves as an artistic focal point while discreetly concealing functional elements. Guest cabins are thoughtfully designed, each featuring curated artwork and a soothing neutral palette, ensuring a restful retreat for all aboard.

Outdoor Living and Amenities

Santosha's exterior spaces are designed for both relaxation and entertainment. The sundeck boasts a jacuzzi, sunpads, and an alfresco dining area shaded by a streamlined hardtop, creating an ideal setting for leisure and social gatherings. The yacht's innovative design extends to the beach club, which has been transformed into a state-of-the-art gym, allowing guests to maintain their fitness routines while enjoying proximity to the sea.

Performance and Sustainability

Equipped with twin MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines, Santosha not only achieves impressive speeds but also demonstrates a commitment to environmental responsibility. The yacht's efficient hull design contributes to reduced fuel consumption, while advanced systems ensure compliance with stringent emission standards. These features underscore the owners' dedication to sustainable luxury cruising.

A Journey of Passion and Expertise

The creation of Santosha is a culmination of the owners' passion for yachting and their meticulous attention to detail. Their hands-on involvement in the design and construction process, combined with their extensive chartering background, has resulted in a yacht that not only meets their personal preferences but also sets a new standard in the world of luxury yachting.

Santosha is more than a vessel; it is a manifestation of a dream nurtured over twenty years, now realized in a yacht that embodies elegance, performance, and personalized luxury.
