De Antonio D60 Video Review: Bow Jacuzzi, Quad V12s and 43 Knots

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough8 min read

The De Antonio D60 is a 60 ft dayboat with a jacuzzi in the bow, a full-beam owner's cabin with a walk-in closet, and four Mercury 600 V12 outboards hidden under the aft sunbed. We walked a brand new D60 in Miami and took her out off Key Biscayne. She planed at 13 to 14 knots, cruised fast at 34 to 36 knots and topped out at 43.5 knots with a Seakeeper 10 on board.

A beach club up front, a sports boat at the helm

We started at the bow, because that is where the D60 is different. The sunbed slides forward to reveal a jacuzzi with six jets that fills from the sea in four to five minutes. Behind the helm the boat is a proper cruiser: three cabins, a galley with a dishwasher drawer and washer-dryer, and a crew cabin under the foredeck. The outboards sit hidden under the aft sunbed, so the swim platform stays clear.

What stood out on board

  • A jacuzzi in the bow
Six jets, side benches and pop-up lights. It fills from the sea in four to five minutes, and the sunbed slides over it when you are not using it.
  • 43.5 knots on our sea trial
With a Seakeeper 10 on board, off Key Biscayne. She held 40 knots through a turn and planed at 13 to 14 knots with no bow rise.
  • Outboards you do not see
Four Mercury 600 V12s sit under the aft sunbed. At cruise you barely hear them.
  • A walk-in closet on a dayboat
The full-beam owner's cabin has a walk-in closet with a window, power and storage.
  • Transformer swim platform
Set it up as a tee-off area, lower it to launch a tender, or carry a light jet ski.
  • Crew cabin under the bow
Two single beds and its own shower and toilet, reached through a hatch on the foredeck.

The bow

With the sunbed slid forward, the bow becomes a dining area. 02:05

The bow does three jobs. It is a jacuzzi, a large sunbed when you slide the bed forward, and a C-shaped dining area with a table that folds open. Carbon poles and a canvas Bimini clip to the hardtop for shade.

  • Jacuzzi.
Six jets, a switch to turn them off and pop-up lights.
  • Fills from the sea.
Ready in four to five minutes.
  • Entertainment.
JL Audio speakers and pin lights across the deck.
  • Anchoring.
Maxwell windlass and a second winch for med mooring under a hatch.

Aft deck and swim platform

The transformer swim platform and the four V12s. 08:50

The aft seating is C-shaped and takes six to eight people, each with a cup holder. Small gates on both sides fold up to keep kids and pets in.

  • Aft sunbed.
Fits about four, with armrests and an ice box table.
  • Electric Bimini.
Extends over the sunbed, with tie-down poles for wind.
  • Transformer platform.
Tee-off area, tender launch or a light jet ski.
  • Engine access.
A lid lifts for service. Vents and fans keep the outboards cool.

Salon and helm

The helm, with twin Simrad screens and a Mercury joystick. 13:40

Sliding doors open the salon to the aft deck, and the side windows drop electrically. The table seats six or folds into a coffee table. Side doors at the helm let you handle lines short-handed.

  • Three helm seats.
Bolsters fold so you can stand and lean.
  • Mercury joystick with Skyhook.
    Holds the boat in place.
  • Zipwake.
A compact unit for pitch and roll.
  • Hardtop sun pad.
Reached by steps built into the shelving by the helm.

Galley and day head

The galley cooktop, below deck on the port side. 18:30

The galley has its own stair from the port side, and a pocket door closes it off from the cabins. Across the atrium there is a day head with a rain shower, so guests do not use the owner's bathroom.

  • Fridges.
A top-loading fridge that can work as a freezer, plus a second fridge.
  • Cooking.
Cooktop, oven and a dishwasher drawer.
  • Laundry.
    A washer-dryer combo.
  • Day head.
    Rain shower, bench and porthole.

Cabins below deck

Double doors open into the full-beam owner's cabin. Two guest cabins sit forward. A Seakeeper 10 sits under a panel, along with the watermakers and a labelled electrical panel.

Owner's cabin

  • Queen bed.
    Wireless chargers, USB-C and power.
  • Vanity and TV.
A hidden mirror, and a TV with HDMI.
  • Walk-in closet.
    With a window and power.
  • En suite.
Walk-in rain shower and teak bench.

Guest cabins

  • Two twin cabins.
    Twin beds, windows and portholes.
  • Convertible.
The bulkhead can come out to make one VIP cabin.

Crew cabin

  • Access.
Under the foredeck, reached through a hatch.
  • Layout.
Two single beds and its own shower and toilet.

Sea trial off Key Biscayne

Running off Key Biscayne on our sea trial. 27:15

We took the D60 out on a clear day off Key Biscayne, with a Seakeeper 10 on board. She drives like a much smaller boat and lands solidly over wakes.

  • Planing.
13 to 14 knots, with no bow rise.
  • Fast cruise.
    34 to 36 knots, 36 knots at 5,300 rpm.
  • Turning.
Held 40 knots through a turn.
  • Top speed.
43.2 to 43.5 knots into the waves, about 50 mph.
  • Reported elsewhere.
The builder told us this boat did 47 knots in Europe and hull one hit 49 knots. We did not measure those.
The verdict

The D60 is a party boat at the front and a fast cruiser at the back. The bow jacuzzi, the walk-in closet and the crew cabin are rare on a 60 ft dayboat, and the quad V12s are quiet. On our sea trial she topped out at 43.5 knots and held 40 through a turn, with a Seakeeper on board. She drives like a smaller boat, so it is an easy step up if you are coming from a 50-footer.
