Frauscher 1212 Ghost Video Review: A James Bond Boat in Miami

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read

The Frauscher 1212 Ghost is a 39 ft dayboat that looks like a design statement before it leaves the dock. We walked and drove one in Miami. She has a swim platform lounge with two sunbeds, a social cockpit with tables that drop down, a helm with analog gauges and a joystick, and a cabin with a seating area that becomes a bed and a head with a shower.

A dayboat with a supercar feel

The 1212 Ghost reminds you of a classic sports car, from its sharp lines to the chrome-ringed analog gauges at the helm. Frauscher builds each boat to order, so the interior and equipment can be set up the way you want. The centre of gravity is very low, so you sit close to the water and the boat feels solid and precise in every turn. No wonder it suits a James Bond film.

  • A social cockpit
Tables on both sides drop down, and one becomes a large sunbed with a cushion.

The helm seats turn to face aft at anchor.
  • Range for island hops
About 350 nm at a 35 knot cruise, quoted by the builder.

The verdict

The Frauscher 1212 Ghost is as much about how it drives as how it looks. It sits low, tracks precisely and grips through hard turns, and it keeps fuel use sensible for a fast boat. The cockpit is social and flexible, the analog helm is a pleasure, and the cabin covers a day out. If you want a dayboat with the feel of a European sports car, the 1212 Ghost is worth a drive.
