Hanover 387 Video Review: A Fold-Down Terrace and Outdoor AC

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough6 min read

The Hanover 387 is a 38 ft express cruiser built for families. We walked her in South Florida and took her out in rough water. A side terrace folds down at the push of a button, there is outdoor AC in the saloon, and the hardtop opens for fresh air. Below deck there is an owner's area forward, a guest cabin and a dry head. On our run in the chop she reached 30 knots (35 mph).

A lot of space for 38 ft

We started on the swim platform, with a Kenyon grill, a sink and a big storage locker for fenders and paddle boards. The aft seating turns into a sunbed, an electric awning shades it, and a ladder folds out for swimming. The saloon has an L-shaped seat with a dining table, storage under every cushion and an AC vent, which matters in a South Florida summer.

The fold-down terrace, the outdoor AC and the opening hardtop make the cockpit easy to live with, and the Kenyon grill and storage everywhere help on long days. Below there is space for a weekend, with a proper dry head. In rough water she reached 30 knots and the stabiliser kept her calm.
