Sialia 57 Weekender Video Review: A Silent Electric Cruiser
By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read
The Sialia 57 Weekender is a fully electric motor yacht. We first filmed her at a boat show, then threw that video away and went out on the water, because an electric boat is best felt under way. On the intracoastal the only sound was the water. She reached 24 to 25 knots with a range extender running, and below deck there is a galley, a saloon that sleeps guests, a head and an owner's cabin.
Quieter than a sailing boat
This boat has a 250 kWh battery, with options up to 1,000 kWh. At intracoastal speeds that is a full day on the water, and a fast charger at the bow tops her up in about an hour where marinas have one. A range extender, in reality a generator, adds more. On deck the theme is lounging: an aft sunbed, a bar, a chaise lounge, a C-shaped lounge and a bow lounge, all under a soft top that folds open.
What stood out on board
- Near silence under wayOn the intracoastal all we heard was the water. With the range extender running, the loudest sound was the propellers.
- 24 to 25 knots on our runWe saw 19 knots at 300 to 400 kW and 24 to 25 knots with the range extender raised.
- A soft top that folds openIt closes completely at speed with no wind noise, and opens at the push of a button.
- A cool deckAfter an hour and a half in the sun, the decking was still cool to the touch.
- A Kenyon grill and a cooktopThe outdoor galley has both, plus a sink and a fridge.
- 360 cameras all roundVisible on the Garmin screens at the helm and below deck.

Aft deck and swim platform

- Shade.Carbon poles for a canvas Bimini over the sunbed.
- Charging.A wireless charger tray next to the sunbed.
- Storage.Under the side steps, for fenders and lines.
- Ladder.Sockets on the platform to mount it.
Bar and outdoor galley
Under the hardtop there is a bar counter with stools, and the galley is right in front of it. Openings in the floor show off the electrical system.
- Bar.Cup holders and a misting champagne holder.
- Grill.A Kenyon grill and a cooktop.
- Sink.With a pull-out wand and a fridge below.
- Audio.Volume and light controls at the bar.
Lounges and soft top
A chaise lounge sits to starboard and a C-shaped lounge with a coffee table to port. Everything is padded, so a bump in rough water is soft.
- Soft top.Folds open at the push of a button.
- Aft shade.A second shade extends over the stern.
- Heat. The shade blocks the heat as well as the sun.
- Cameras.360 cameras in the hardtop.
Bow
Walkways run down both sides with gunwales almost to knee height. At the bow there is a C-shaped lounge with backrests that recline.
- Table.Clip-on mounts for a table.
- Fast charger.A charging socket for marina superchargers.
- Hatch.A skylight that doubles as an emergency exit.

Helm and sea trial
The wheel locks at dead centre so you always know where the rudders are. On our run she did not ride bow high, so the view ahead stayed clear.
- Joystick.Linked to the bow and stern thrusters.
- Throttles.Tucked under a lever when not in use.
- Seat.Flips up so you can lean or sit higher.
- Speed.19 knots at 300 to 400 kW, then 24 to 25 knots.
- Noise.Mostly propellers and water, even with the generator on.
Below deck
Steep stairs with two handrails lead down past an L-shaped sliding door that lets light in. The galley has a second cooktop, a small dishwasher, a microwave and a fridge.
Saloon
- Table.Seats about five, or lowers into a lounge bed.
- Guest berth.A curtain turns the area behind into a sleeping space.
- Screens.A TV and the camera feeds on a Garmin.
Head
- Shower.Walk-in, with a rain shower and a bench.
- Access. From the saloon and from the owner's cabin.
Owner's cabin
- Bed.Queen size or a little larger.
- Vanity. With an LED mirror and storage below.
- Details.Reading lights, chargers and a hanging closet.
The Sialia 57 Weekender makes a strong case for electric boating. On the intracoastal she is almost silent, the deck stays cool and there is a lounge wherever you stop. She still reached 24 to 25 knots on our run, with no engine noise and no wind in your face under the closed soft top. For days on the water around Miami and Fort Lauderdale, the 250 kWh battery is enough for most owners.
