Horizon FD90 Video Review: A Wide-Body Family Yacht With a Laundry

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough8 min read

The Horizon FD90 is a 27 m wide-body motor yacht built in Taiwan and designed by Cor D. Rover. We walked a brand new one, from the aft deck to the engine room. The main deck has a salon with floor-to-ceiling windows, dining for 10, a galley with a glass screen that rises, and the owner's suite forward. Below there are three guest cabins and a utility room with a Pullman, and up top a sun deck with a bar and grill. The bow has its own lounge, fridge and ice maker.

A 90-footer that feels bigger

The wide-body design pushes the main deck out to the hull sides, so the salon and the owner's suite feel much larger than on a typical 90-footer. We started on the aft deck, with freestanding furniture, a wet bar and a TV that drops down. Wind doors on both sides close the deck off when it blows. Storage is everywhere, from the crew lockers on deck to the closets in every cabin.

The verdict

The FD90 is built around family life on board. The wide-body main deck gives the salon and the owner's suite real volume, and the galley glass, the wind doors and the drop-down TVs make every area easy to use. Below, three guest cabins and a utility room with a Pullman cover big families and long stays. Up top, the sun deck bar, the grill and the bow lounge give everyone somewhere to be. We did not sea trial her, so we cannot speak to the ride.
