St. Barth 85 Fly Video Review: A Full Owner's Deck and a Bow Jacuzzi

By the YachtWay editorial deskUpdated October 2026Video walkthrough7 min read

The St. Barth 85 Fly is an 85 ft aluminium tri-deck built in the Netherlands by a founder who could not find the right 85 footer and decided to build one. We walked her in Monaco. She has a swim platform that extends, a tender garage, a jacuzzi at the bow, a flybridge with a grill and a folding arch, a beach club with a bar, an owner's suite on its own deck, a main deck galley and three guest cabins.

An 85 footer that feels like a 110

St. Barth's founder runs wellness centres, and the jacuzzi at the bow shows it: it fills and drains in minutes, and the water stays warm in a tank that also helps stability. The boat is designed for owner operators, with 360 cameras, a Dockmate wireless remote and a security camera aft. The whole interior sits on rubber mounts to keep the aluminium hull quiet.

What stood out on board

  • A jacuzzi at the bow
It fills and drains in minutes and stays heated, from a tank that also helps stability.
  • A full owner's deck
The owner's suite sits aft next to the beach club, waking up to the view astern.
  • A swim platform that extends
It slides out a few feet, then lowers into the water as a private beach.
  • Cleats with winches built in
A clever detail we had not seen on a boat this size.
  • Tables that slide
On the main deck aft, the tables rise and slide toward the seats.
  • A quiet aluminium boat
The whole interior sits on rubber mounts against vibration and echo.

The verdict

The St. Barth 85 Fly is full of ideas from a very hands-on founder. The bow jacuzzi, the extending swim platform and the owner's deck by the beach club are rare on an 85 footer, and the tri-deck layout gives everyone room. She is easy to run yourself, quiet inside despite the aluminium hull, and finished with care in every cabin. For a family that wants a big-boat feel without a 110 ft yacht, she is worth seeing.
