This 1973 Hatteras 36 Sportfish is anything but an ordinary vintage Hatteras. ANCHORS AWAY  benefited from an extraordinary, no-expense-spared transformation, with more than $500,000 invested in her restoration and modernization.   The  majority of the work was done by Hinckley Yachts between 2007 and 2008  Extensive receipts are available.   

The goal was not simply to update an older boat—it was to create a truly unique yacht combining the legendary construction of a classic Hatteras with the fit, finish, systems, of a Hinckley yacht

A One-of-a-Kind Classic

The interior has been completely transformed from a no nonsense fishing machine to a cruising fishing machine with updated creature comforts.   The major change in the main saloon was the fiberglassing in of the forward windows. Extreme care was taken to use superb craftsmanship and materials selected specifically for this yacht. The wood panels that were hand selected are truly beautiful  The result is a sophisticated interior that bears little resemblance to a standard 1973 Hatteras.

Above deck, the yacht features a custom flybridge and custom cockpit, creating an exceptional platform for fishing, entertaining, cruising, or simply enjoying time on the water.  At the time the bridge was also air conditioned but is no longer  all plumbing and venting etc are still in place  As ANCHORS AWAY is truly designed to raise fish  she recurved new outriggers a central rigger and A ton of rod holders including a rocket launcher  were also installed along with custom live well, custom fish box and tackle center 

Hinckley basically  gutted the entire vessel prior to commencing the upgrades  all new wiring, plumbing, and machinery   The final touch was the extraordinary paint job ANCHORS AWAY  presents very well  and is a true head turner in any marina
